I have been taking our 1965 Ford Thunderbird to Funk Brothers Automotive for about 2.5 years now. They have been respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful-not to mention that they don't charge an arm and a leg! I have never been so quick to build up trust in an auto shop like this expect - Chuck's Auto Care & Tires which was on Fairfax Ave across from CBS Television. Joe who is one of their employees is polite and knowledgable. You can tell that they communicate well within the group and have great management. They follow up, keep their schedule, and are upfront about what they recommend, what they think is truly needed, and how much it will cost. Highly, highly, highly, highly recommend Funk Brothers Automotive to any classic car owner in the LA area.

I was referred to Funk Brothers by my neighbor. I've had horrible experiences at the dealership and I was trying to find a place that I could trust. Funk Brothers was able to figure out what was wrong with my car (dealership couldn't figure it out on the first try and asked for more money to further investigate the issue) and they offered a very fair price to fix it. I really appreciated their honesty. I would definitely recommend taking your car here. You won't regret it!

My sister and I have been coming here for over a decade. Always been satisfied with their work and service. These guys are honest, polite and professional. They always remind me of things my car needs to have done but never make me feel obligated to get it done either. I managed a used car lot for years so I know a good mechanic shop when I see one, these are good guys you can trust.

My good friend recommended Funk brothers to me when I was having trouble with my 96 Blazer. I made an appointment and brought it in for them to look at. I was having trouble with my front end clanging over bumps, and also my rear brakes locking up. I got my diagnosis fairly soon afterward. (I dropped it off on a friday, so had to wait through the weekend) My original estimate included a lot of things I hadnt asked for, so I was a bit confused, but after speaking with them via email, and phone, it was explained that they were just including things that they found during the diagnosis, and that nothing would be done unless approved. We settled on only the fixes that would address the immediate problems I was having. The price for those repairs seemed more than fair considering what needed to be done. I was told that the problem with my brakes was probably (90% sure) the master cylinder, and was told that there was a chance that wouldnt correct the problem, but it was our best shot. I got my truck back a couple of days later, and all seemed fine. Front end was definitely improved, although the steering seemed a little looser than I was hoping for. The brakes seemed fine until a couple of days later when the problem returned. Hey, we rolled the dice... Anyway, I was contacted personally through text to find out if I was happy with the repairs, and I told Hovig that the brakes were still not fixed. He asked that I bring it back in to see what's going on. I have not had a chance to do that yet, but I will update when I do. I think that the crew at Funk Bros has been very up front, and honest in their diagnosis and repairs. Pleasant to work with, and I was never pressured into approving any work I didnt want done. We'll see how this brake thing goes, but I'd definitely recommend Funk Brothers to anyone needing honest mechanics and thorough professional work.

I've been going to Funk Brother's since I moved to LA a little over 2 years ago and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Hovig and his team are simply the best. They not only know what they are doing, but they are honest and extremely trustworthy. If you are contemplating it, make an appointment. You will be happy you did.

I take my Subaru here because of one reason; they are HONEST! I never feel as if they are swindling me or running up charges. They give a personal and honest account of what needs to be done. That said, they can get pretty busy. I recommend scheduling an appointment or being the first one in line at 7:30 when they open.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank the staff for their repeated superb service. I own a Chrysler car and have had several occasions to bring my car to Funk Brothers to have problems detected and resolved. They are very knowledgeable with this product line and I've never been disappointed with the outcome.

I came here to get a transmission fluid, filter and gasket change on my Mazda 3. The guys did great work and did everything by the book (Mazda recommendations). The price was extremely competitive compared to other garages I talked to. All in, a good job and a great price. I will be back!

I've gone here a few times now and I can now solidly recommend Funk Bros as a very good car service place. They are very thorough and not pushy. They recommend things to do but do not oversell. they give you all the options and let you decide. They are thoughtful, nice, sincere and tech savvy. Check them out for everything from routine service to auto body. I recommend!
