I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. They are, in all aspects, the best experience I have ever had at an auto repair shop. I have "issues" with mechanics, I'm that girl that drives a stick and works on her own car whenever possible. My dad, who raced open wheel race cars as a hobby, taught me a lot about cars while we were at the track and at home in our garage. He worked on all our cars and I never had anybody else work on my card. He passed away when I was in my twenties and my horrible experiences with mechanics began. Taking your car to the repair shop is often a nightmare as a woman. Many mechanics will talk to down to you, act as if you couldn't possibly understand even the simplest car repair, and this is if they talk to you at all. I have been overcharged, charged for unnecessary repairs, etc. So yes, I often walk in with my baggage dragging behind me and my issues dancing around me. Funk Brothers Auto is the opposite of everything bad that I described above. They are professional, respectful, kind, attentive, accommodating, patient, and good at their job. Their shop is clean, the mechanics friendly and their manager Hovig should be teaching classes on customer service. They communicate well, provide honest estimates, explain what needs to be done AND what will happen if you don't without using scare tactics or bullying you into repairs. Their pricing is fair, they use OEM parts not cheap aftermarket crap, and their labor costs are more than reasonable. They did a lot of work in a short period of time. When they discovered they could do one of the repairs by replacing a cheap vs an expensive part, they replaced the cheap part and saved me $200 in the process. What mechanic does that? I couldn't recommend these guys more, please give them a try I promise you won't be disappointed. I wish I could use their services more frequently but that would mean something on my car broke (boo!) so I'll just have to settle with the fact that I know I have a great mechanic to return to if need be.
